Bowser Waterworks District entered Stage 3 Outdoor Watering Restrictions on June 1, 2026.
Overall water consumption continues to rise, particularly during warm, sunny weather. Our reservoir is currently cycling more frequently than is ideal, and conserving water will help ensure a reliable supply for all customers throughout the summer.
Residents are encouraged to reduce water use wherever possible, both indoors and outdoors. If you are planning new lawn installations, consider postponing sod installation until September when cooler temperatures and increased rainfall reduce watering requirements. We also ask customers to be especially mindful of water use on weekends, when demand is typically highest. While properties supplied by private wells are not subject to Bowser Waterworks restrictions, we encourage all residents to use water responsibly and conserve whenever possible.
We appreciate the community's continued cooperation. Water conservation helps delay the need for costly infrastructure expansions, including additional reservoir capacity, pump stations, and water distribution pipelines. By reducing demand and extending the life of existing infrastructure, conservation efforts also help keep operating costs and future water rates lower for all customers.

Here are some quick water saving tips:
- Water only when your lawn or garden needs it and only when permitted. Your lawn only needs 1" of water per week to be healthy.
- Know your irrigation system and ensure it's set to water only during the appropriate times.
- Native shrubs and plants have already adapted to our climate and soils. Once established, these plants do well on the moisture that they get from annual rainfall and require less maintenance.
- Mulch reduces evaporation, retains moisture, and reduces weed growth.
